I am wk. (4) of my recovery from 2nd total knee replacement (right knee) completed by Dr. Park. I had acute osteoarthritis; bone on bone from previous surfing and other related sports injuries. Eventually, I ended up having to use crutches to walk long distances and was living with chronic pain. My (left) knee replacement was completed (4/2024) by Dr. Park and it was a huge success. I’m gaining back my strength; living pain free, and smiling again!
There are many orthopedic surgeons in Orange County, but there is only one Dr. Park. He is very unique in his class of highly qualified surgeons. His kind, compassionate, and humble demeanor makes him stand out. Dr. Park has a special gift, and I will forever be grateful to him and his team at Providence Hospital, Laguna Brach for their dedication before and during my surgeries; and their continued support,

I recently visited this office which was recommended after an ER visit. Dr Wang walked into the room and looked at one x-ray and didn't look at the sonagram that were all done at the hospital. He said its not broken. Well yes that's what I already knew, they told me that at the hospital. He asked me to show him how far I could move it. Afterward he said to go home and work on extension and flexion, then come back in a week. If it still hurt and I couldn't move it they would order an MRI in 2 weeks. That might not seem to bad but he didn't even touch my knee or look at the other x-rays or sonagram. Then stood up and almost left until I said "so I just go home and hang out".
Then he came back and manipulated my knee a little. Afterward not adding anything. No possible diagnosis, or suggestions besides work on extension. When I asked about PT he said I could do that. Really, that is all! Good thing I made the long "walk" on the crutches for nothing.

If it wasn't for Dr Samuel W. Park, I would still be in excruciating pain from my knee when I walked or try to climbing stairs. My Physical Therapist recommended Dr. Park to me for possible knee examination/ surgery when I asked her who was the best orthopedic surgeon in Orange county. He was well worth it waiting to visit him . I was truly suffering pain on my right knee for over couple years, and I had tried all different methods assuming pain was temporary and will go away. I cannot thank Dr Park enough for taking the time to evaluate my knee patiently listen to my concern and providing the different options. He is very professional and caring. While in waiting room I could witness how busy he was, but he didn't hesitate to take the time to explain my situation and answered all my questions easy to understand and very thorough. He explained that the knee replacement procedure is when the cartilage is completely or almost completely worn out and to remove a damaged joint and replace it with an artificial joint. I learned Dr. Park will exhaust all avenues and unless a patient’s knee is bone to bone, he would not recommend and perform surgery and I appreciated his honesty. After further consideration I decided to have robotic process knee replacement surgery, I found out that Dr. Park is the first Dr. in California who learned , practiced, and did perform the robotic surgery. At pre-op surgery he was available and met me personally along with anesthesia Dr. and other members of his team before I go into the operating room that made me comfortable, secured, supported and felt very important person that they really care. I received incredible follow-up on the post operation from Dr. Park and his team to ensure my recovery goes well. His front office personnel are soft spoken, caring and extremely patient considering I was calling numerous times after surgery with my questions and pains, the staff helped me and putting me at ease. Before surgery he informed me that “for the first two weeks after surgery , you will dislike me a lot, and then few weeks and later on you will start liking me again a lot!”. Perhaps one of the unique programs that Dr. Park offers, daily video exercises that is part of post operation to help you to follow step by step at home physical therapy that I found out is very helpful. Words cannot sufficiently articulate how impressed , satisfied, and exceptionally pleased I am with Dr. Park and his office staff medical practice. He was professional, compassionate, courteous. I recommend him for any potential candidate for a knee replacement surgery!

This is mostly about how their team runs their office. I was recently turned downed for an appointment to Dr. Elzik because his group merged with another group from Orange, I believe. They said that I owed some surgeon from that other group, under $100, from 2011...yes 2011! I don't remmeber that, and it is not collectable almost 14 years later anyway. They surely wrote it off as a loss on their taxes many years ago, so it is tax fruad to try and collect on it now...a felony! And, because I am totally disabled, I filed BK in 2014 which included any debts I may have had at the time. To try and collect on a debt discharged by the Federal Bankruptcy court is a violation of the bankruptcy laws and can occur a fine of $10,000 for each and every attempt to collect on it. I explained this to the office manager, not the brightest bulb or most moral person you will meet, and she ignored all of it. The entire group of doctors are responsible for whom they employ, and it reflects directly upon their character on how their empyees conduct themsleves. These are all facts and indisputable.

I saw DR. Eidt today for a broken wrist, and was very pleased with him and the whole staff, they were all efficient, thorough, and friendly. DR Edit pointed out exactly where my problem was on the x-rays, and assured me i should have a good outcome with just a cast. He scheduled a follow up x-ray appointment in two weeks to insure everything is healing correctly. I highly recommend this group to anyone with an orthopedic related problem.

At the beginning of last year David started seeing an orthopedic doctor for pain in his left ring finger. After several visits over several months, the doctor had told David he had arthritis and there really wasn’t anything he could do other than pain medications/creme. As a life-long guitarist where guitar playing is his life-blood, he was frustrated and determined to find a solution. While searching on YouTube he came across a video of knuckle replacement surgery by Dr. Mark Elzik. Given new hope, David looked up the doctor. What are the chances this doctor would be in our part of the country…he was in Mission Viejo, about 30 minutes away from us! Okay, but what are the chances he is in our insurance network…YES, he was! Immediately, we contacted our primary care doctor for a referral. Within a week of finding Dr. Elzik on YouTube, we were in his office. After taking some X-rays, Dr. Elzik confirmed knuckle replacement surgery would take care of David’s pain and that he would have full use of his hand/finger after rehabilitation. One week later, in the middle of November 2022, David had the surgery. His hand looked pretty gnarly. I called him “Thing” for awhile-lol. During the rehabilitation process, David quite often wondered if he had made a mistake getting the surgery. His finger was stiff and wouldn’t bend. But with physical therapy and a house full of guitars staring at him, he managed to start playing guitar within a couple months. It has now been a little over 6 months, David is back shredding lead guitar with his cover band, The Voodoo Funk, playing guitar parts from the likes of ZZ Top, Chicago, Journey, Neil Geraldo, and so on. Thank you to Dr. Mark Elzik at South Orange County Orthopedics in Mission Viejo for giving David back the ability to do what he loves most..playing all his guitars.

I have had several surgeries before having my total hip replacement by Dr. Park. Their pre-op, day of surgery and post-op process and procedures are the best I have ever experienced. I have never experienced a surgeon and their staff who make you feel as if you are their most important patient. When I asked questions, every person stopped what they were doing and had a conversation with me about the topic my question was about. Every day I received a call or text to guide me on specific steps I needed to take before or after surgery. The icing on the cake was the message from Dr. Park on the evening before the surgery that he had this. The timing was uncanny. But it was exactly what I needed to here that night.
This is the best and most professional I have ever had. My assessment is based on the eight prior surgeries I had in my life.
Surgery was five days ago. I can tell you already it is a sucess.

Dr. Elzik is the real deal. I have had thumb surgery in the past by a different Doctor. That entire process was awful. I went to Dr. Elzik, he provided surgery on my other thumb. The results from Dr. Elzik & team were a completely a positive ending. The procedure was less invasive and I had less recovery time. Lastly from the Doctor to his staff they are so very caring and friendly. I'm a fan for life.

Dr. Park is simply unsurpassed in every way. So skilled, so kind, can't say enough. He has given my 95 year old mom a new pain free chapter in her life. She had a full knee replacement 2 weeks ago and is already walking better than pre-surgery. Thank you, Dr. Park. Our experience with you exceeds 5 stars!!

Dr. Park is amazing! He's conscientious and really well informed. I had so much metal in my body from a 15 year old hip replacement. Dr. Park figured out the least invasive and easiest recovery for me and really saved me. He gave me back at least 5 years of my life...I don't fall any more and I'm not feeling insecure and prematurely senile now. It's such a gift. Smart and gifted surgeon.

My shoulder was in bad shape due to several dislocations and a prior shoulder surgery. After Dr. Fitzpatrick fixed my shoulder I have had no issues. I’m very satisfied and definitely recommend him. It’s been around 5 years now and my shoulder is still going strong.

I had a basketball injury and was referred to Dr. Elzik to look at my little finger on my left hand which had a severe "rip" of meat and skin right down to the tendons. He was very thorough and let me know what I could do to help it heal.
It is fine now and I am playing again.

I was very impressed by Dr. Mark Elzik and his knowledge and expertise concerning my condition. He put me at ease and his confidence was reassuring; everything went well and my fingers have straightened out and are feeling back to normal after some initial pain. It has been a long time since I have been able to have my finger lie flat and I am pleased with the outcome. I am wearing the brace each night and find I don’t even notice it during sleep.
So thank you to Dr. Elzik and his staff and office personnel who directed us along the way !!
