Dr. Sohn specializes in the treatment of sports injuries and disorders of the upper extremity. During his two fellowships, Dr. Sohn received additional training in complex problems of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He has experience with shoulder resurfacing, total shoulder and elbow arthroplasty.
Dr. Sohn has expertise in revision shoulder and elbow surgery, including reverse total shoulder replacement. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures, such as arthroscopic reconstructions of the knee, shoulder, and wrist. |
Dr. Sohn earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he graduated with honors. During his residency, at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Sohn won awards, including one for his research in pediatric femur fractures. Following his residency, Dr. Sohn completed fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute. He also completed a fellowship in upper extremity surgery at UC Davis Medical Center. He has done research in adult and pediatric hand problems, publishing his work in the Journal of Hand Surgery and the Master’s Techniques Textbook Series.
Dr. Sohn is a member of the medical staff at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. He is active in his community, providing team coverage for the local High Schools. He has served as a medical expert for several TV shows including CSI, CSI Miami, and Univision’s Despierta America.
